College in Pennsylvania Uses Hanging Underwear for the Environment

This story came out a couple of weeks ago in the Meadville Tribune.  Students at Allegheny College wanted to express the importance of the 350 project which is an effort to make people aware of carbon emission.  350 parts per million is the level of carbon dioxide that the earth’s atmosphere can support before it can no longer function properly and irreparable damage occurs. So the students decided that they’d hang 350 sheets on clotheslines to represent this number.  When they realized that couldn’t find the bedsheets they decided to use socks, bras, and panties.
