21.1 Megapixle Canon 5D Mark II Ships Today
November 25, 2008 by Andrew - Hunter College

Armed with 21 megapixles, full-frame censor and full-HD video capabilities, the Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR camera pretty much kicks the crap out of everything you already own. And it’s finally being shipped out to retailers today, which means it could be on shelves in your area by the end of the week.
The 5D Mark II’s massive resolution capabilities gives you photos big enough to create your own billboards. And the full-HD video (1,920 x 1,080 resolution vs Nikon D90’s 720p) looks so sweet it’ll give you diabetes. Video can be recorded at up to 4GB per clip, or about 12 minutes, using any Canon lenses from ultra-wide-angle fisheye to super-telephoto.
The only catch is that this sucker’s going to run you $2700 just for the body (no lenses included) or $3500 with a 24-105mm f/4L IS USM zoom lens. Either way, you might have to get a government bailout just to afford the dang thing.
