Highly Contagious Mystery Virus Strikes MI College
Shut it down. Wash it down. That is the order from Ottawa County health officials after more than 120 Hope College students became ill from a noro-like virus. Officials are awaiting tests to determine exactly what virus it is. Classes, sporting events, any gathering of people on the campus is prohibited. [Austin News]

U. Del Frat Pledge Dies Of Alcohol Poisoning
A University of Delaware freshman died early Saturday of apparent alcohol poisoning during a party at the fraternity where he was a pledge.
Brett Griffin, 18, of Kendal Park, N.J., lived on campus but was at a party at the Sigma Mu Alpha house off campus, The Star-Ledger of Newark, N.J., reported. Rescue workers found Griffin in cardiac arrest and took him to Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced dead. [UPI]
