As if eating chocolate and getting fat was not enough of a motivation to get you through Halloween weekend, it is important to ponder: the Heisman race, the Texas/Texas Tech Battle to stay Undefeated, and hot cheerleaders. This weekend, don’t bite on the play-action and be sure to piss on anyone who hands out candy corn.

No. 1 Texas (8-0) at No. 7 Texas Tech (8-0)
The list of ranked opponents comes to an end Saturday for the Texas Longhorns. The Horns hit the road to face unbeaten Texas Tech in Lubbock, which will be the real test for both teams. For the Red Raiders, it’s the second of four straight games against ranked foes – Texas being the top in the land. Texas has averaged 48.0 points in winning five straight against Texas Tech, but this not the old TT from past years. I think I am the only one – but I am looking for the Red Raiders to pull the upset of the season.

No. 2 Alabama (8-0) vs Arkansas State (4-3)
Alabama has an “active bye-week” as it takes on Sun Belt member Arkansas State. The Tide likely won’t take this one for granted after falling to Louisiana-Monroe last November, but there will be a minor amount snoozing from the sidelines. Alabama won the only previous meeting between these schools, 34-7 in 1982, and Arkansas State is definitely on a downward spiral.

No. 4 Oklahoma (7-1) vs Nebraska (5-3)
Nebraska-Oklahoma is likely an elimination game as a loss will dash hopes of a Big 12 division title for either team. The Huskers have already equaled their win total from last season. The Sooners are coming off a win over Kansas State that saw them score 55 points in the first half. Oklahoma holds a 43-37-3 advantage in the series and has won the past three meetings, including the past two at home. Despite Nebraska’s helpless attitude over the last couple of years, this is a game that they will get ACTUALLY motivated for. Look for this to be a competitive game, with the Sooners pulling away in the 3rd quarter.

No. 5 USC (6-1) vs Washington (0-7)
Now that the Huskies have set aside future coaching distractions, will they rally and send Ty Willingham out a winner? No. Straight and simply. The Trojans are 23-0 in November under Pete Carroll, and the Huskies are riding a nine-game losing streak. Not to mention that fact that USC is still pissy from their loss, and will look to brutalize someone. Dirty Sanchez will be putting on a 400+ yard passing game clinic. USC is 48-26-4 all-time against Washington, including 6-1 under Carroll.

No. 6 Georgia (7-1) vs No. 8 Florida (6-1)
Florida will be looking for revenge, even if the Gators aren’t talking about it, after Georgia’s team end-zone celebration last season. Funny how no one forgets something like that. The Bulldogs’ 42-30 victory last year was their third win in the teams’ 18 previous meetings. The winner of this game has the inside track on the SEC East title. Look for the Gators to have special motivation and this is Tebow’s chance to make a strong argument for Heisman #2.

No. 9 Oklahoma State (7-1) vs Iowa State (2-6)
Oklahoma State needs to get back on the saddle after falling to Texas last week. And what better team is there for that than Iowa State, which is winless in the Big 12 and it teeters on amazing that they won 2 other games. The Cowboys are sixth in scoring, and the Cyclones are No. 102 in defense. The Cowboys and Cyclones have not met since Iowa State’s 37-10 win on Oct. 22, 2005 in Ames. Iowa State is going to get sodomized by a group of angry Cowboys, the likes of which has not been seen on national TV since Deliverance.

No. 10 Utah (8-0) at New Mexico (4-5)
Utah hits the road looking to remain unbeaten when the mormon monsters visit New Mexico. Utah has won 16 of its past 17, including nine of 10 in league play. The Utes lead the all-time series 30-17-2, but the Lobos have won five of the past eight matchups. Look for Utah to have all of their wives on hand as they beat up a lowly Lobos team in an attempt to jump into 8 or 9 in the rankings.
