4 Ways to Get Your GF to Let You Watch Football

Autumn weekends can turn into a tumultuous time for couples around America. As men recline into their chair for a long weekend of football girlfriends become frustrated with the lack of attention they receive from their mates. In order to alleviate some of the stress that football may be having on your relationship, try one of these suggestions:

1. Send Her to the Spa: This is by far the most expensive option. However, if you have some extra money lying around and it is a really important game you might want to consider sending her off to get a manicure and a massage. She will know exactly why you are doing it, but she will be so grateful that she really won’t care.

2. Split the Weekend: Football runs from Thursday to Monday, but the prime viewing days are Saturday and Sunday. If you live in an area where you have a good college team but you could care less about your professional team (i.e. Detroit), consider splitting the weekend. If she agrees to let you watch football on Saturday, then you agree to spend the day with her on Sunday.

3. Double Date: If you are having a hard time getting your lady to let you watch football, there is a good chance that your buddy is going through the same thing. Instead of fighting it, take your girlfriends to a bar. While the girls talk, you and your buddy get to watch the game on the big screen!

4. Negotiate – Negotiate – Negotiate: Gents, as much as we hate to admit it, relationships are all about negotiation and compromise. Watching football without upsetting your significant other is no exception. Offer to wash her car on Tuesday or agree to take her to a chick flick.
