Alcorn Campus “Freak List” Pisses Off Tons of People

It was talked about in the cafeteria. It was talked about in the classroom. It was even talked about on the social-networking website, Facebook. What was it that had the students at Alcorn State University in a frenzy? Was it the state of our country’s economy or the upcoming presidential election?

No. The hottest topic on Alcorn’s campus was this year’s issue of the infamous Freak List. An unknown person/people gather names of assumed female students and their “actions” and placed it on copies that are then dubbed the Freak List. Copies were then distributed throughout the Alcorn campus. On the female Freak List, there was a “top 10″, a “bottom 10″, and even a throwback section!  [Alcorn Chronicle]

Remembering David Foster Wallace – His Kenyon College Commencement Address

Read it all if you can: it’s the briefest distillation of Wallace’s genius you’re likely to find. [Mental Floss]
