Look.

I'm not arguing that Crowe is funny, or that he hasn't acted like a douchebag. But I think he's a pretty good actor. More to point, I don't think someone needs to be funny to play a comedian in a biopic. Frankly, I find most comedians to be terrible actors (there are exceptions, of course, but I'm generalizing). Crowe wouldn't be trying to be a comedian on his own merits, he'd be playing a role. It's a question of acting talent, not comic talent.

Why is it a bad idea? Bill deserves to be remembered.. and as long as the 'right' people are talked to, to get the story right, Russell Crow would be perfect… hell, I'll bet Bill would have even liked the idea.

Have you forgotten that "Carrot Top" won the best comic of the year.. the year Bill died and was finally nominated…What a joke! That was wrong in so many ways…..I serously dout Russell Crowe or anyone is going to be doing a movie about him.

I knew Bill, and he left WAY to soon.
