The fact that people are so sensitive and offended by such material (Simple Jack) is ironic. If someone calls a fat person "fat", they're likely to be offended and potentially upset (obviously personality and maturity play roles in this response). If you were to call a skinny person "fat", then they probably wouldn't care because it's simply not the case.
People (individually) are offended when an insult (substantiated or… not) hits close to home.
Acknowledging something's offensiveness is borderline conceding authenticity. This obviously doesn't mean that ignoring it disproves it, but why would you want to call so much attention to something like that?
Todd & Bluto are right on. We have it too easy, in the US, if we have so much time and energy that we just sit around and wait for something to get upset about.
Personally, I've been diagnosed with a slew of psychiatric disorders that are looked down upon. I hear jokes about ADD (often hilarious) or how it's such a bunk disorder.
People attribute raging psychopaths and people with severe personality disorders to "bi-polar disorder", which is like saying that anyone over 200 lbs is fat. I don't get offended, and I certainly don't bother arguing with them. "You think people with bi-polar disorder are crazy? Well, I'll show you that you're wrong by getting pissed off about it!"

It is because of people like this that a woman has to fear that she can’t do what she wants with her body, the government says what we can and can’t put in our bodies, it is illegal for me to help a loved one who is in pain every waking minute to end their suffering, allow an 18 year old to go and die in a war, but won’t let them have a beer. I can keep going, but the further I go, the more I get pissed off that these prude people are allowed to try to tell me what I can and cannot do.

I don't know who these people think they are, trying to censor what we can and can't see/hear/laugh at, but they need to get off their high fucking horse. I am an adult and if I want to go see a movie that has a hilarious portrayal of someone that is retarded (yeah, PC is BS) then, I will go see it, laugh and go home.

If you see a child (retarded or not) coming down the escalator at the mall and tries to jump over the grating, but face plants, isn’t your first reaction to laugh? I know mine is, then shortly after I worry if the kid is alright, but I still got those few seconds of enjoyment at someone else’s expense…I must be a bad person for laughing, eh?
