How The U.S. Presidential Election Works
July 31, 2008 Posted in Video
You might think you know how the presidential election works, but probably not. It’s an archaic system that’s probably far more complicated than it needs to be–especially in this day and age of technology. But it’s the one we’ve got, and have to live with–at least for now. Luckily, someone made this video that lays the whole thing out in a way that doesn’t require a degree to figure out. So now when you vote this November, you’ll at least know WTF is going on.

To all those that didn't know how this worked:
Isn't it fucking retarded? The electoral college system infuriates me. First off, in this day and age, it would be way EASIER and more democratic to just count the popular vote.
What's more, the way they determine the number of electors (by adding the two senators to the number of representatives) means that vote of a person in one state is more valuable than that of another. More precisely, voters in states with smaller populations get more weight placed on their vote than states like California.
I read this in a book when I was in 8th grade and I still remember how this work. Too bad they're still some uneducated people.
