No, you don't get it. Obviously you don't live here. If a crazy person talks to you, you fucking ignore them.. What are you thinking? You want to have a conversation with them about the weather? You don't talk to them or give them money. You never know what they could do. And with homeless people, occassionally there may be a situation where you want to give them a dollar. But don't be a dumbass and have your wallet out pulling out bills- that's just asking to be mugged. It's better to ignore them.. there are so many homeless people here, that you will go broke.

Very Nice! People should just understand it's like when someone comes to their house, they are the visitors, they need to respect the owners. Me being a tourist next week coming from the hell hole known as Iowa, I will be taking all of this advice to heart. And for everyone else. New Yorkers are some of the most respectable people around because they mind their own buisiness. I'm so sick of small town atmosphere where people need intimate details about your life from just walking down the street. I say tourists respect the status quo, and then when a New Yorker for some ungodly reason decides that they need to visit corn or beans in the heartland, you can tell them how to act in your town. Until then, just understand that these are respectful things people do to help the people who have to put up with it every day.
