Next, can we have an article on how to not act like douches for NY residents?

News flash... those tourists keep half the city employed. You might want to not act like an ass to every one of them.

Douche.

Reminds me of an entertaining discussion I had years ago, in a London pub: Her: "Say that in New York and they'll whip your ass!" - Me: "So what, I said don't want to go to New York." - "That'll get your ass kicked in New York!" - "Good job I don't want to go there, then." - "Say that in New York and..." etc... etc... the irony kills me.

I'm going to NY in the fall. Here in New Orleans I don't so much as check my mail without wearing my fanny pack, which I use to carry my gun. I hear that in NYC not only will the fanny pack mark me as a douche, but so will the weapon - particularly with the local constabulary.

I find that a great number of New Yorkers are trash dressed in suits. The general lack of manners, self-respect, and respect for others make it look like a variation of a trailer park in many respects. This is especially true when the office types are rushing home from work and running everyone over. I love the city...and think the tourists are the best part! They're actually enjoying themselves while those who live there are nearly always miserable!
