Uhhh…there was NEVER a time that the UN was useful. It's not like there is anyting stopping nations from talking to one another. It's just a sham organization to make tiny nations feel like they aren't just the next pawn to be gobbled up by the next superpower.

Oh and 'ha ha ha' to everyone who constantly bitches about US influence on the world. Have fun with China when they FULLY colonize your dirt pit of a country. Enjoy. I just hope we (the US) do NOTHING to help out at all and finally re-isolate and do our own thing once again like we did pre-World Wars. (minus the slavery and no women's rights shit of course, those issues can remain as they are now. ;) )

Form another group and start over. The league of nations failed miserably. It served a small purpose, and then failed. Now start over. Take the security council, and/or the largest countries in the world, as far as economic resolve is concerned, and start over. When countries want to join, you need to petition and agree to certain parameters.

Right now, all these dinky shit countries feel like they deserve to be in the UN and deserve ALL the international aid they receive. They will sing a different tune when that aid (mostly from the US and Europe) stops.
