Wow I didn't think there was still anyone around who thinks humans aren't heavily contributing to climate change. But I guess if you get all your opinions from Ron Paul some level of ignorance is to be expected.

Maybe we can just say that Santa moved to the South Pole because of sub-prime woes! Good work J - problem solved, but I still dont want to pay so much for gas and there is no reason for it to hit 100 degrees in NYC - damn you non-global-warming/south pole ice-over!

Heads up. Volcanoes spew more crap than all of the debris humans have produced since we started walking upright. The north pole may be getting smaller (its not) but the converstation isnt finished because....hold on ....wait for it....wait for it...yeah the SOUTH POLE IS GETTING BIGGER, DEEPER AND COLDER. Al Gore is a liar his mentor Paul Ehrlich predicted in 60's that mass starvation would reduce the US population to 22.6 million by 1999. Your being lied to by tyrants that want to control your life.

If they did drive SUV's did they turn to ethanol for a fuel source?

The importance, for me i guess, is reducing reliance on oil. Yeahyeah, save they whales, ice and the manatee, but I just dont want to pay $5 a gallon to drive.

The earth has warmed over the last 100 years or so. However, the anthropogenic causes of it have been overexaggerated by alarmists as climatology is a science in its infancy and has undergone more than a few growing pains that seem to be conveniently unreported on.
Ask youself, how has the earth gone through 3 ice ages and had periods where the climate was on average well above where we are right now (a few of those without human interference)? Did dinosaurs drive SUV's?
There are far greater forces that effect climate than just man.
Google around and find articles on the current sunspot cycle (or the lack thereof) Temperatures dropped precipitously this year. One year does not a trend make, but the lack of solar activity and the temp drop can't be ignored totally. If solar trends continue, it will be interesting to see what happens the next couple of years. I've read some astrophysicists who have said we may be on the edge of a mini-ice age. They just had an emergency conference with 100 of them not too long ago.
