Missing the Mark: American Cheerleaders at War
May 21, 2008 Posted in Daily Features

Despite my opposition to the Iraq war, we still have to support the troops, and we should do whatever we can to make them feel better over, despite their circumstances.
But is sending in Cheerleaders the right move? I mean, you’re not getting laid for the most part while you’re at war. Do you really need hot chicks who won’t have sex with you shaking their asses in your face?
If I were a soldier over there, I think seeing these women would make me go insane, and if the sh*t hit the fan I wouldn’t be right in the head to start fighting enemies.
I appreciate the support of these ladies but it’s just not a good idea.
In any event, check out some past Kuwait and Iraq Pics

Agreed. It's one thing to send over a modestly dressed Scarlett Johansson to waive to the crowd but a bunch of floozies shaking their pom-pom's? Just poking the Grizzly Bear with a short stick.
Obviously you are assuming that cheerleaders are sluts. Do people have sex with Cheerleaders every time they go to a football game or any other sporting event? Your opinion is insulting not only to Cheerleaders but to the Armed Forces. Celebrity appearances over seas is not about sex. It's about boosting the moral of the troops. When I was in Iraq I didn't see special appearances such as this but I know it would have cheered me up just to know that people at home support us. My heart goes out to those who support the troops by writing letters, sending packages, or by making appearances such as these Cheerleaders. Rather than "saying" that you support our troops, how about "showing" that you support your troops.
