Ticketmaster Turns Paper-Free

Starting this summer, Ticketmaster will being to implement Paperless Ticketing, which allows customers to pick-up their tickets at the venue, using only their credit card.
The change comes in an attempt to offer Ticketmaster customers more convenience in their ticket-purchasing pursuits. ““Fans want more convenience,” said senior vice president David Marcus, “and this is a more convenient way of attending a show than standing in line and waiting for your tickets on the night of the show.”

Tickets purchased using Paperless Ticketing will still have to be bought online or over the phone. But the new feature allows show-goers to skip the ticket window at the show, and head straight for a venue-worker, who will scan your credit card to verify the ticket purchase, then let you in the show.
Paperless Ticketing only allows two tickets per credit card purchase, and you’ll have to bring a photo ID matching the name on the card to get in. That, and something tells us their convenience fees will now be in the neighborhood of one left nut.
