Is it any wonder alot of people still view the tattoo industry with scorn with twats like this in the world?
The only advice that should be given to people thinking of this type of tattoo is, "Don't do it!" Even with rubbing alchohol and a needle "sterilised" by heating it, you are still taking a massive health risk.
Apart from the health risks these tattoos look horrible and only get worse with time.
Go to a reputable parlour, get good artwork and if you ever get the oppurtunity to meet the guy who wrote this do me a favour and punch the cunt.

my oh my reading that gave me a couple of laughs. been there before, and boy do i ever regret it.

me and two of my friends all did hearts on our hips while drunk as shit. these didn't turn out soo so bad, one girl's is still there, mine is still half-there, but the other's was gone. so next time we drank she decides she wants another one, of a number three.

it looked really good and dainty after i stabbed it into her that night, but when we woke up the next morning it looked like a curvy, swollen, worm. oh the guilt. she insists its okay, but fuck, i would pay any amount to get it removed for her.

overall, baad bad idea.

While I do hang my head in shame for society on many an occasion, look again and read what I wrote. If you're going to disagree with what I said, please disagree with what I actually said.

Also, there's a reason that licensed tatto artists are licensed and use clean needles – not pens or markers.

And I agree that you're either the type of person to tattoo yourself or not, but that doesn't make the process cleaner, safer, or smarter.

I strongly disagree with 'Mike.' Homemade tattoos are nothing new, and plenty of people do them. In the end, it's the judgment of the person if it's a good idea or not. Furthermore, the writer of the article repeatedly emphasized the dangers and warnings of homemade tattoos before doing it yourself.

Meh. I wouldn't do it myself, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the most irresponsible article ever, seeing there's far more worrying things in the world than some 'idiot tattooing himself.' Is it kinda dumb? Sure. But 'hanging my head in shame for society' dumb? Oh please.

You're either the type of person to do this or you're not. No convincing is needed.

This may be the stupidest thing i have ever seen any "reputable news source" post. This sad excuse for an article is moronic, dangerous, and absolutely irresponsible. As a journalist, I hang my head in shame that any editorial department would even consider this to be an informative read.
