NJ Attorney General Going After JuicyCampus.com
March 20, 2008 Posted in News-ish
CollegeOTR is reporting rather serious news for scandalous university gossip blog JuicyCampus.com, stating the following:
“The New Jersey Attorney General is going after JuicyCampus for violating the state’s Consumer Fraud Act. Although the site claims it doesn’t allow offensive material, there is no way for users to report or dispute slanderous comments. Prosecutors have already subpoenaed the website’s records. If they get their way, JuicyCampus will have to give up the goods (i.e. the IP addresses).”
It looks like this could be the beginning of the end for Juicy Campus. If they some how manage to survive, all this scandal could be a very good thing as it has given then tons of free publicity and brought in thousands (if not millions) of new users.
