UNC Student Body President Found Shot To Death

The entire University of North Carolina community is in mourning as their student body president was found shot to death on a street early Wednesday morning. Police believe it was a random act.

Eve Marie Carson, a 22-year-old senior at UNC from Athens, Georgia, had been shot several times, including at least once in the head, police said Thursday. Authorities said they had no suspects and no arrests had been made at this time.

The Daily Tar Heel website has become a virtual memorial for the Eve Marie Carson featuring multimedia tributes, photo galleries and numerous stories authored by her friends and Daily Tar Heel contributers.
