Will Ferrell showed off the basketball skills he learned as Jackie Moon on the set of Semi-Pro when he faced basketball legend Bill Walton in a game of H.O.R.S.E.
Ferrell hit 3 shots in a row to jump out to a quick H.O.R. lead. Then he sunk an impossible, behind the glass, Larry Bird inspired shot to go up H.O.R.S.
ESPN never actually shows the outcome of the match but we can assume that with an H.O.R.S. lead a cruising Farrell quickly put the nail in Walton’s coffin.

I’m not tired of Farrell. I think he’s genius, but like many of the great comedy guys he’s been wrapped up in some really crappy ones. The ones that’ve been good, though, have been home runs.

larry birds shot is more difficult than the shot will ferral takes. they shoot from significantly different places on the floor. Will Ferral IS NOT THAT GOOD. He doesn’t have any eligibility after making this film, UCLA would not recruit him.

Wait, so you’re saying that Larry Bird is better than Will Ferrell? Just because he won numerous championships, was named to the NBA’s 50 greatest players ever, and played on the Dream Team???
Did you really think they were serious about UCLA recruiting Will also? Dont tell me that even for a second you believed that one of the best teams in the country would recruit a movie star to play on their basketball team.
