What is Persai?

There has been some speculation about what exactly Persai is.

Well, I’m going to set the record straight…sort of. Persai is not ready to launch yet – in fact it’s in private beta testing mode right now – but I’ll break down what it will be once launched.

Persai is a content aggregator that is specific to your interests. You specify a topic that you’re interested in with a few words, and Persai will find new content relevant to that interest and recommend it to you. As you use Persai, it learns, and can better recommend content.

Recommendations are based entirely on content, other users’ feedback has no bearing on what Persai recommends to you. As an example of this, the people over at Persai have taken two “interests” in Persai, stylized them, and put them on their own domains.

For example, www.eyeonfacebook.com is a Persai interest that I created with the words “Facebook” and “Mark Zuckerberg”; www.appleinsight.com was created with “Apple” and “Mac.”

Of course, these sites are just tests; the persai.com consumer site will be much more interactive.
