NCAA Basketball Picks Of The Day – Feb. 21, 2008

As the overall record fell to 8-18-1 I’m starting to get the feeling that our cappers have no idea what they are doing.

On Tuesday two cappers picked the Oklahoma vs Baylor game with DA Zeus choosing Baylor +6 and Fenboy choosing Oklahoma -6. Oklahoma won the game 92-91 bringing DA Zeus’ overall total to 4-2 while Fenboy got his 5th loss.

Bone predicted that Clemson would beat Florida State by 4 points, oh how wrong he was! Clemson ended up getting smoked by FSU by 9 points picking up his 5th loss in a row.

Gebsta chose Kentucky but they did not cover the -6.5 spread in a 61-55 win against Georgia.

Let’s see what happens today.

DA Zeus (4-2) from Fairfield University

The Pick: Oregon +5 vs USC

The numbers in this game point in major favor of the Ducks. Cosidering 6 of the last 7 games in this series the road team has won SU. Not to mention that this is a big game for both squads. I believe Oregon is been playing very good ball in their last 3 games, and USC has not. USC also is a little banged up right now, and in their first meeting the Ducks flat out blew it. Love payback games, and this is one of them. Trends that stick out: Underdog is 8-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings. Road team is 16-4 ATS in the last 20 meetings. If I lose this one , then so be it. But its very rare when I have a gut feeling and it coincides with my numbers. Also, another side note, USC’s 4 of 5 starters played the entire 40 minutes last time out and that will certainly hurt them in tonight’s game.

Gebsta (1-4) from Seton Hall University

The Pick: Notre Dame -4.5 vs Pittsburgh

This game is very evenly matched. Pittsburgh’s defense should slow down ND’s offense but the Irish had the size/rebounding power to command ball time. Harangody recently dropped 32 points against UCONN and will eat Pitt up like a delicious BK Extra Value meal.

Bone (1-4-1) from from Lynchburg College

The Pick: With 5 losses in a row Bone has decided to act like a 3rd grader and press the reset button on the Nintendo system. He will take today off and reevaluate his capping skills only to come back tomorrow and drop to a dismal 1-6-1. If you learn anything from this COED’s NCAA Pick of the Day always bet against Bone and you will be a winner.

The Pick: Fenboy is playing baseball in California and will be back with us on Monday
