Van Halen’s “Runnin’ With the Devil” with David Lee Roth Isolated Vocal Track

January 25, 2008     Posted in Music, Video

Van Halen’s “Runnin’ With the Devil” is a staple at rock clubs and seedy dive bars worldwide, with most credit due to the unhinged vocal performance by David Lee Roth. But like the Wizard of Oz before him, once you lift the curtain of studio production the warts come marching out.

Then listen to the isolated vocal track of DLR, yelping his way through an eternity of priceless comedy at his own expense:

Props due to WFMU and Chunklet Magazine for unearthing this vocal track. (Hear the full-version on both sites.)
