Will Smith Does NOT Like Hitler!

Not sure how many of you actually heard about this over the holiday, but the idiots who started this “scandal” should be shot.

Will Smith was so pissed off about this, his publicist actually got back to us, and here is what really went down. Our friend Will did an interview for his several upcoming movies. A conversation ensued about how he thinks that the human mind is inherently good (led to a plug for I am Legend). Since the interviewer was borderline retarded and did not get his point, he said the following statement:

“Even Hitler didn’t wake up going, ‘let me do the most evil thing I can do today.’ I think he woke up in the morning and using a twisted, backwards logic, he set out to do what he thought was ‘good.’”

With that statement, internet gossip writers and other magazine publishers somehow inferred that Will Smith, actor/rapper born and raised in the Philly, is a Nazi sympathiser who supports the tenets of Adolph Hitler. I am f**king mindboggled. We at COED Mag, are not the Times. We are actually not even that smart. We like to party, our office has no heat – but a stripper pole. In short, we are smart enough to know the important things in life. How ANYONE can infer that Will Smith supports Hitler is a dizzying bastardization of common sense.

What was the result? Idiots from all over the world started piping up on how to boycot Will Smith films, until there was an apology (of COURSE, there could be no indefinite ban on Smith films). So Will had to get his whole PR staff up on the holiday and release the following statement, “It speaks to the dangerous power of an ignorant person with a pen. I am incensed and infuriated to have to respond to such ludicrous misinterpretation. Adolf Hitler was a vile, heinous vicious killer responsible for one of the greatest acts of evil committed on this planet.”

Will, we agree, they are crazy. As a matter of fact, you should invite US to the junket next time! We aren’t ambitious enough to make up crazy shit like you are a Hitler fan.
