Two Bands to Know: Ludo and Missy Higgins

Ludo

A college band out of Missouri discovered by FUSE, their first (self-titled) album featured songs about meeting a hot chick at the dorm laundry room (Laundry Girl) and breaking up with a crazy-sh*t needy girlfriend (Good Will Hunting by Myself). Their live stuff is awesome, but at the VERY least their music is “Hey let’s get drunk and listen to cool tunes�? worthy. If you pay attention to some of the lyrics, you will probably laugh your ass off too.

Missy Higgins

Most recent album is “On a Clear Night,�? Missy Higgins is responsible for most of the catchy slow songs on network TV. She has been featured on Smallville, The OC, etc. On her previous album, there is a song called The Special Two – if you cannot get laid with that song playing, sex with other humans might not be in the cards for you. I don’t care if you are a dude shooting for the 2 hole or 5 hole, Missy is your guide for closing the deal. Ladies, if there is some dude who f**ked with your head and you are feeling a mixture of angry and sad, pick up “On a Clear Night�? and key the bastard’s car.
