World of Warcraft Intervention

I believe the song from the South Park movie goes, “There are times when you get suckered in, by drugs and alcohol and sex with women. But it’s when you do these things too much that you become an addict and have to get back in touch.”

Mr. Mackey left something out of that little ditty: the video game World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft is an online role-playing game where people build up a character and go on quests in a world that is similar to Lord of the Rings. It also becoming the number one cause of “virginitis” in the country as many players find themselves hopelessly glued to their computers trying to build up their power levels. The adage “if you can’t reign supreme in the real world, reign in the digital one” has become a lifestyle for nerds and men who are over 40 and still living in their parents basement.

But how do you know if a friend or family member has a World of Warcraft problem? Just watch this video below of a boy named James. James was a star lacrosse player and straight-A student before he got sucked into the World of Warcraft. Now he distances himself from his parents as they make one last attempt to save the little boy they once knew…
