Facebook/MySpace/AIM Cheating

FaceBook Cheating

“With the emerging dominance of Facebook and the ongoing popularity of networking sites and technology like MySpace and AOL Instant Messanger, online communities have added a new dimension to our social lives. They’ve brought with them opportunities to meet new partners, rekindle with old partners – and chat up with love interests.”

“Plenty of men and women alike are up in arms at their partner’s online activities with members of the opposite sex.”

Join the debate!

“Is it possible to cheat via social networking? Would you let your girlfriend meet people of the opposite sex online? Do you use Facebook and MySpace to meet new women that your lady doesn’t know about?”

This story is published via AskMen. I had to bring it over to COED and get college students’ opinions.

basically, you’ll never know until you know. you gotta have trust in your partner and if they fck up once…they’re likely to do it again. I say, trust your girl until she gives you reason to do otherwise…then hack the sh.it out of her cell phone and comp and see what she’s really up to. If you find out she’s cheating…do ur worse. if she can’t be woman enough to stay faithful or treat you like a fool, i say have no mercy. make a sex tape and show all your friends, get her to buy you nice stuff for xmas or valentines and kick that chick to the curb…see it as reimbursement for her being a trifling c.unt. pwn hard and pwn sluts harder. deuce b.itches

If a person would cheat, a person would cheat. If people would have better set of morals and values, as well more love and respect to their significant other, maybe people could have a better place to live in and maybe couples could have lasting relationships. These things are just mediums, and it could be through phone, be in person or be via whatever means. Every action would result a reactions. Every reaction would result actions.

Facebook/Myspace are time wasters. I had facebook. Deleted. It’s a joke. I keep in touch with my close friends via cell phone. I’m busy making money while my friends are busy worrying about what everyone has done to their facebook page today. I don’t think talking to another guy/girl on these sites is cheating, unless it get’s serious. I don’t necessarily agree with it though, because it only leads to no good. When I’m with a girl, I’m with her. I leave her no doubt or concern. I don’t call or hang out with other girls. Period. I dated a girl for

I consider it semi cheating, basically its the gate to cheating, one thing leads to another. I just saw my girlfriends facebook, and I was surprised how many guys she has talked to. I feel semi cheated because she actually gave them her MSN her number and all that. Well whatever I consider it the gateway/key to cheating

I agree these sites offer a window for a secret life. I know personally the harm of a supposed innocent chat with a lost love or someone with interest. It usually starts as hi how are you, and the negitive trats of each mate start to be told in the chats and then these conversations lead to emotional connection that lead to meeting. The sad part is, when the trust is broken and line crossed its hard to ever go back. One can forgiving, but NEVER forget.

Well I think it’s not cheating at all. I have some of my bestfriends on Facebook and some are females, it doesn’t mean I wanna sleep with’em all….But I can think about guys who have a low confidence level in their relationship to think that Facebook or MySpace are full of women and men willing to cheat on their sweethearts…

Let’s not forget about other things too. Facebook isn’t all about sharing music and friends. What if your girl is out talking about sex with all kinds of strangers online? that would make me more than a little uncomfortable

This comment board is blown up! here my 2 sense. you can’t seriously understand relationship issues fully through technology alone… you are ridiculous if you assume you can. I will say tech can do a great job of making you paranoid tho because it is so one sided and details can be so skewed. to break it down if you trust the person you are with and there aren’t any other giant red flags waving to make you assume otherwise a simple sit down convo will go a long way.

I just ended a long term relationship with my girlfriend because she had made a new male friend on myspace, its unacceptable if your in a committed relationship to make new friends with members of the opposite sex online or off, messaging to me might as well have been phone calls; to me its the same thing.

To those who think its harmless. My wife started an affair with a guy she dated for only 2 weeks 10 YEARS AGO after being on Facebook for only a month. The sad thing is I even told her that Facebook was bad news because I know of 2 other relationships ( one marriage ) that ended because of Facebook. Sucks

WTF Friday: Peek-a-Boo

I know it’s wrong to make fun of people for things that they can’t help. But damnit, I just can’t help myself! I mean, it’s not my fault that this woman looks like a bug-eyed park goblin, lurking behind trees, waiting to breath heavily on innocent people. Somebody’s got to stand up to this kind of threat. And I’m willing to take the blame for being an asshole, and just call a spade a spade. You’re welcome.
