Bye Bye Porn Industry!

August 18, 2007     Posted in Guy's Room, Lifestyle

pornNo, I’m not saying that it’s gone for good, but with recent online advancements, the huge industry is going down.

The New York Times reports that “the established pornography business is in decline — and the Internet is being held responsible. The online availability of free or low-cost photos and videos has begun to take a fierce toll on sales of X-rated DVDs. Inexpensive digital technology has paved the way for aspiring amateur pornographers, who are flooding the market, while everyone in the industry is giving away more material to lure paying customers.”

Some of these amateur photographers happen to be college students. Take the example of Indiana University co-ed, Keira, who caught a lot of heat for the amateur soft core porn site she was running out of her dorm room.

With free options like this, who needs to go out to the store and actually spend money on a DVD?

“People are making movies in their houses and dragging and dropping themâ€? onto free Web sites, said Harvey Kaplan, a former maker of pornographic movies and now chief executive of GoGoBill.com, which processes payments for pornographic Web sites. “It’s killing the marketplace.â€? NYT.

Now, I can’t say that this whole porn industry decline is really affecting me at all. But, I do think it is interesting that a previously billion dollar industry is now flailing because of amateurs slapping videos on their websites.

Sorry creepy porn executive guy, there is no need for you anymore.

Porn is going down the tubes because every girl looks the same shaving or waxing. Girls have lost their identity and they now all look the same. It gets old with nothing new or different.

Keith, actually its simpler than that. Porn is dying because you no longer need a studio and professional lights & cameras to shoot it. Nowadays, any girl with a video camera can make her own video with her boyfriend in her bedroom and upload it to the Internet. Porn is becoming a victim of the advances of technology.

I live in the San Fernando Valley, which is the capital of the porn industry. I wonder if I'll soon be seeing the porn starlets bagging groceries or standing at freeway on-ramps begging for change? LOL

    Good-bye, pro porn!!

    Who the fuck cares?

That's supposed to be a bad thing?

Most of the bullshit the porn industry churns out itself, like the anal sphincter of a dog with diarrhea is crap anyway.

I can barely get an erection, watching that plastic shit.

Women narrating the scenes in some whiny voice, obviously badly…and with the guy probably just thrusting his dick between her thighs without even penetrating her.

Not to mention the guys in that stuff make me feel like crap because their penises are ENORMOUS, and they're more jacked and ripped than I can ever hope to be…

And the women are just thin as fuck.

And no, really fake breast implants don't counteract the fact that a woman is rail-thin and repugnant.

  5. Karinga says:

Yes! Yes! Porn is dying and it should. The fake and unrealistic whiny voices by those ladies sucks! Let Porn go to hell!

  6. seemeyesme says:

it should go away from new ppl

  7. jessy says:

what the fuck is wrong with u people porn is what keeps the internet rich and big if u took that away it would lose its edge

  8. Juan says:

Half of you, I would have to agree with. But as mentioned on the article, most of the porn on the internet is free. That means porn stars have to work for free. I don't think they would like that very much.

  9. Johnny says:

who cares? people that will bang for a buck will find another way to come up with the rent money. these porn stars wouldn't give two shits about me losing my job so why should i care about them? i guess it doesn't matter anyway, most will be used up in a matter of a few years and will have to deal with finding a new job anyway. i think jenna jammeson said "once a porn star always a porn star." good luck.

  10. shah says:

In my opinion there is no innovation of being a porn actress or porn star ,because it is not some thing extraordinary it is an easiest way of being a fake star & cheap negative publicity.

The industry on will die because it is natural to have these capabilities in ones self & no one look at the face of such things no one even knows the color of her or his hair even after watching full event.even animals are good at it(& even some are very better than us as human beings)so where is the industry or porn star factor exist.
