See Ya Dan! ESPN Fires Dan Patrick!
July 6, 2007 Posted in News-ish

There has been speculation over the last few days about Dan Patricks departure from ESPN. An anonymous ESPN source told CO-ED late last night that Patrick is all but gone and the departure was not mutually agreed upon as it will be played off as in the news when the story breaks. This will come off as a big loss to Sports Center enthusiasts but Patrick has had numerous hosting auditions including the coveted âPrice is Rightâ? position.
Dan Patrick, 52, started off at ESPN in the 1980′s and was made famous for anchoring Sports Center during its extreme growth during the early 1990′s. This growth was due in part to the funny Sports Center commericals ESPN would run featuring the days biggest athletes.
To honor Mr. Enfuego here are Partick’s Top 10 Greatest Sports Center commercials.

"Dan Patrick, 52, started off at ESPN in the 1980’s"
Uh… he started at CNN in 1983, and then went to ESPN in 1989.
I think were there is smoke there is fire! This has been presented as so cut and dry with not much info to go on. So I think there is more to this story than what we are hearing. I say…more to come.
Educate yourself.

Sledge (post #2) 1989 is the 80's so he started off at ESPN in the 80's
Post 4 – we keep posting our info about breaking the story on his wikipedia but his people keep talking down the story because they are trying to cover it up exactly like our source at ESPN radio in S Florida said they would
Internet rumors are the best thing in the world. Any idiot can claim something absurd and cite an anonymous source and get a bunch more idiots to believe him. So in the future all the future idiots just need to look at this site and see that they are being misled by a moron.
I am hoping Dan takes over the vacated Imus slot on MSNBC, now filled with the ever boring "Morning Joe".
I think this would be a great platform for Dan to use both his humor, and obvious intelligence.
In any event, hope to see Dan back on the air soon.
